The electric car company Tesla has unveiled a guarantee for a second hand car to be returned to its original owner if the original owner suffers from a medical condition or suffers an accident.
Key points: Tessi Li has set a secondhand car for sale She’s offering the guarantee to a second-hand car that has been given to a friend or family member for at least six months The guarantee applies to the original purchase price and a value of $1,500 TESSI LI, the wife of the former Tesla chief executive Elon Musk, said on Sunday the guarantee applied to the value of the car and was “for a second chance”.
The offer is the latest in a string of similar measures that Tesla has taken in recent years.
In January, it announced it would offer a guarantee of two years to a car that had been given up by its owners after six months of ownership.
The company also introduced a guarantee to its own cars, and in March, it made the promise of a lifetime guarantee.
Tesla says the guarantee applies if the car has been “sold or transferred to the first party to whom it was sold” and has been in the possession of that person for at most six months.
Tessa Li, who was chief executive of Tesla when Mr Musk took over as chief executive in 2014, said the guarantee would be available to “anyone who has been part of the secondhand vehicle community”.
She told ABC News: “I don’t want to scare anybody with the announcement that I’m going to guarantee a second life for a Tesla car.”
If a Tesla is stolen, if it’s not returned to the owners and the car was sold to someone else, I can guarantee that it’s a second person’s car that I will be able to provide a second car for.
“I’m not going to tell you, but I’ll give you an example.”
A Tesla is sold to a person who’s not a Tesla owner.
It’s sold to an insurance company.
It’s sold by a person to a private party.
There are people who have bought cars that are not their own.
If I bought a car from a private individual, I would not guarantee a Tesla for six months because it’s only been a six-month period, and they’ve had a bad experience with that person, so there’s no guarantee that the car would be back in my hands.
“Ms Li also said Tesla would also provide a guarantee if a Tesla was stolen and the original owners were unable to retrieve it, or if the vehicle was lost or damaged.
It’s been sold to the third party that’s owned it and the owner was a Tesla user and the third person who has bought it is a Tesla. “
I want to make sure that the Tesla that I own is the Tesla I’m looking forward to,” she said.
“It’s been sold to the third party that’s owned it and the owner was a Tesla user and the third person who has bought it is a Tesla.
That’s why I want to ensure that the two people who own the car, they both get a Tesla.”
