By Jonathan Lott – 2 February 2017 – 09:24:50In a rare move, Tesla Motors has announced that it will offer a 2-years guarantee to the owners of the first-generation Tesla Model S, in addition to the first and second generation Model S.
The company said that it would make the guarantee conditional on a return of the cars in a reasonable period of time.
The second-generation Model S comes with a warranty of two years, while the first one comes with one year.
The guarantee is similar to that offered by other automakers in the US, such as BMW, Audi, and Mercedes.
Tesla said that the second-gen Model S has a range of 200 miles, which the first Model S had.
The warranty covers the Model S’ batteries.
Tesla has been testing its Model S sedans in California and in Texas, but it has not yet released a full list of its customers.
The announcement came as Tesla shares fell by nearly 5 percent on Wednesday, after it said that Tesla would make its first production Model 3 vehicles available for the first time in 2021.
